Slack as Usual...

I did say I'd keep this blog updated... I'm not sure anyone's reading it at all anymore, as I haven't even opened up the site since before Christmas. I'm going home. It feels quite strange... That's all I've really got for now.

It really, really doesn't feel like Christmas yet. I need heat!! I really need some heat... I'm now sleeping under two doonas (duvets for those of you who don't speak Strayan). As you can guess, the weather has just taken a turn for the freezing. It's not very nice in Newquay at the moment. It's raining a lot and everyone is pretty unhappy about the situation. If it would only snow again. That put everyone in an instant good mood last year. I'm heading up to Yorkshire for Christmas with Dan's Dad and his family. I have very high expectations about this Christmas dinner Dan keeps raving about. I guess it is the home of the Yorkshire pudding, so it should be good. After Christmas, where I hope it feels a bit more festive than where I am right now, we will be heading back down south to Dan's other home, then I'm going up to London for New Years. Dave's having a house party, and Ange will be there. That's all I need, so it should be a good one. Anyway, just thought I'd send some Christmas Wishes to whoever is listening... I can't wait to get home at the moment, but there's still too much to see over here. I'll be back in March, after doing a trip in Italy. Not sure if I've already mentioned that. Hope everyone has a jolly good time over the silly season, Love y'all xx

So I haven't actually told the tale of getting back to Newquay yet. Far out brussel sprout... it was a mission in the end. I arrived in London, as you know from Budapest, with very little money and a flight to Newquay where I could earn some money as fast as possible. I stayed at Carys' place a couple nights, then headed out to Stansted to get my flight to Newquay. This unfortunately didn't happen as smoothly as it seems it should. I got on the tube, bidding farewell to Brixton one more time, towards Liverpool Street Station. Anyone who lives in London will tell you that you should leave two hours minimum to get anywhere on the tube, as there's always something delaying you, whether it be actual delays or.dan rocks.... DAMNIT DAN KEEP YOUr little HANDS TO YOURSELF! whether it be actual delays or little old ladies walking slowly down the wrong side of the lane. God help her, no-one has any pity for those who dare to break the rules of London. And how bout those suitcases in the express lane on the escalator.... Somehow, I just didn't make it to the stansted express on time. I still got on it though, with that feeling in my stomach, throat, toes and water that I was wasting my time. Got to the airport, and sure enough, I had missed the flight. There was actually still about 50minutes till the flight left, but the rules are so strict on checking in early now, that they wouldn't let me through. Tears flowed, when I called Dan and said I wasn't making it down to Newquay that night, after being away from him for 6 weeks.
Luckily I found €100 in my wallet, and that got me £45 just before the exchange desk closed. With my new found cash, I was albe to purchase an overnight bus ticket from Stansted to Newquay. I was so lucky there was one leaving that night. So the next morning at 7.30am I was finally re-united with my boyfriend and Matt's Surf Lodge.

So I'm back in the UK... I'm in Newquay again, as a Polish friend of mine says 'The place with no culture...' In a way she's right, but there is definately a type of culture here. There's a surfing culture here, but just no art and history... it's not like Prague. I wish I was in Prague. I would be taking photos right now, or I would be drinking great cheap beer, or I would be learning another language... ah... I've become a snob to this town. I have posted some photos on myspace, so you can see them there, this blog is just for words. Words which aren't really flowing too well today, so I'm gonna leave it at that. Thanks for listening!

Woah, I've just realised that this blog makes me look like I'm completely bored with life! Well, this is not the case. I have now started working on a Pumpkin Farm... I've always dreamed of this life. Lying in a field chewing a bit of straw, while the flies buzz lazily past my eyes, interrupting my daydream. Right now I'm listening to Radio Hit, by Anal Cunt. D's on the trampoline doing backflips. He just learnt them this week. The neighbours are joining in too... there's a crowd gathering. There's a party forming... why am I sitting inside on the computer? This entry was written a long time ago... i never posted it for some reason... so anyway, this is a more up to date version of what's going on... I am almost at the end of an amazing trip round Europe... I can't even begin to explain how inspiring this journey has been for me. I will post some photos so you can see from them. Well, i was going to, but apparently I can't... until I sort this out, you will have to put up with this boring post.

Bored

bored, bored, bored... not that anyone is reading this blog so far, but if anyone has any suggestions for something free to do on a reasonably sunny day, please tell me. I don't really get it. Normally we're praying for weather like this, but now it's here, i don't have any motivation to get out and do something in it. It feels like every time i go to leave the house, I need to spend money.
Ever heard of Hecla and Griper? They're good. A bit like Mark Lanegan.
I thought of something to do while bored... think of all the insults you can. Not the most intelligent way to spend the afternoon, but still pretty entertaining.
Ass Dribble
Butt Monkey
Dog Balls Licking
Furious Wanker
Snake's Cock
Fly on the turd of a scummy sheep
Mole on the fat lady's bum
Sucker of Satan's cock
Lizard Licker
Frog Spawn
Pond Scum
Hmm... that's enough of that, I'm really showing off my childish side. Not in a good way either. Not in the way that 'adults' do either, when they're trying to prove they can still do fun things even though they're getting old and boring.
It suggests picking up the dog and showing it the world from a human's point of view. It also suggests you get down and experience the dog's point of view. I like that.
Man I'm bored today... I'm normally quite good at filling my time.

So, this is my entry into the world of Blogs... I was a bit bewildered by them for a while, I wasn't really sure what they were. I wasn't really sure why they existed. I then discovered that most of my friends have been blogging for ages now, so thought I'd get a piece of the action.

I wonder who will read my blog. I guess it depends on what I write. Should I be serious? Should I be polite? Should I be funny? Can I be funny? Should I tell everyone about it? Whatever, I'm just gonna use it as a place to write, when I don't have a pen and paper, but happen to have a handy laptop and internet connection... hmm... that would be almost never. BORING. My life's not that interesting most of the time, so I'm not sure if many people will read for long.

It would be interesting to know how long all these recorded accounts of people's lives will stay recorded. This makes writing an autobiography way too accessable doesn't it? I mean, anyone can write down all the mundane details of their lives and get someone to form it into an intersting read now. I guess anyone could do that before if they wanted to. Maybe this is the end of autobiographies in print. Oh no, it's the worst nightmare of my original chosen proffession - publication. Maybe it's finally coming true. The lecturers at Uni always said that people will never lose the love of tactile things like books and newspapers. If they begin gradually dropping off though, eventually there will be no books to appreciate how tactile they were.

I'm not paranoid, just questioning.
